Ceangail Team Expands to Embrace 3 Years of Growth

Matt McGrandles, Director at Ceangail, announces a major staff investment over the next 3 years that will help grow the social enterprises delivery services to further support a reach into the community and young people.

“Ceangail has had to find its feet in a crowded and sometimes complicated employability training sector, but I believe we have a successful events training platform in place now, so we should see real growth opportunities over these next few years,” explained Matt. “It’s because of the groundwork since 2014 that the Board has signed off on our business development plans and I am delighted to welcome Dan Rous to the team as our new Business Development Manager.”

The new BDM will be working alongside Ceangail’s Director in securing new funding streams as well as helping develop and deliver the social enterprise’s strategic growth plan. With some exciting ideas and major fundraising targets ahead of them, it will also include celebrations of the 150-year anniversary of the Stirling Highland Games in 2020.

Ceangail has also recently taken both Jessie Russell, a 2nd year Glasgow Caledonia University student on a 10-week internship as well as Lauren Gunning, a 5th year Dunblane High School pupil on work experience. Both are involved with events in the local area and are keen to learn more as part of the Stirling Highland Games and Festival delivery team.

Further information on the work Ceangail provide can be discussed in the first instance by calling the office on 01786 542550.
