Ceangail is delighted to announce the appointment of Nikki Johnston as our new part-time Event Manager, joining the team in January 2026.
Nikki will take on event management responsibilities for two of our flagship annual fundraising events, a role previously led by our Executive Director, Matt McGrandles.
Over the past 12 years, Matt has transformed the Stirling Highland Games into the region’s leading outdoor cultural and sporting event—attracting more than 48,000 visitors, securing over £400,000 in investment, and delivering an estimated £5 million boost to the local economy.
As part of Ceangail’s strategic growth plans, we are also preparing to relaunch the Sruighlea Festival in May, with the aim of generating greater social impact and creating opportunities to self-fund Skills Connect training programmes for young people aged 16+.
The Board is excited to welcome Nikki to the team and looks forward to building on the success of these events as we enter an ambitious new chapter.
