Skills Connect Academy is a vocational training initiative designed for young people aged 16 and above, equipping them with the real-world skills, confidence, and mindset needed to thrive in today’s workplace.
Delivered by passionate and experienced educators, our programmes foster a safe, supportive, and practical learning environment where participants develop both core employability competencies and transferable soft skills — including communication, creativity, teamwork, leadership, and resilience.

Skills Connect 3 Day
Skills Connect 3-Day Training – A hands-on, immersive programme designed to build essential employability and practical skills.
Day 1: Essential Skills Training focused on communication, teamwork, and professional readiness.
Day 2: Practical Learning in Events, Digital Media, and Heritage sectors.
Day 3: On-site experience at a live event, where participants apply their learning in a real operational environment.
My Scotland - digital media
My Scotland: 1-Day Digital Media Training – A creative digital programme where participants contribute to My Scotland, an online tourist wiki resource by young people, for young people. This initiative builds content creation, research, and storytelling skills while showcasing Scotland through a youth-driven lens.
Skills Connect - Events
26-Week Skills Connect Training (½ Day per Week) – A long-term engagement programme where young people design, plan, and deliver their own event from concept to completion. This practical, project-based experience strengthens leadership, planning, and teamwork while fostering ownership and accountability.
Headspace - wellbeing
Headspace (3-Hour Session) – A wellbeing-focused session that connects young people with elite athletes who share their experiences of managing pressure, stress, and performance at the highest levels of sport. Designed to build resilience, confidence, and self-awareness, Headspace supports participants in maintaining positive mental health and emotional wellbeing.
